- They have been hard at work this spring connecting families and students with assemblies and programs. Since April, Tambark Creek PTSA has offered a Parents & Pastries drive-through with Scavenger Hunt, a Rainforest Assembly, a Multicultural Virtual Event, Virtual Bingo, Aquasox Reading Program, a Draw Along Assembly, and more!

Congratulations to our March Star Award recipients, Gateway Middle School PTSA and Silver Lake Elementary PTA!
Congratulations to our March Star Award recipients, Gateway Middle School PTSA and Silver Lake Elementary PTA!
- Gateway Middle School PTSA organized and hosted the online musical production of Dear Edwina. Coordinating an online production this year shows true dedication. The middle school and high school drama programs have been dearly missed this past year so thank you to all for providing the opportunity for students to perform!
- Silver Lake PTSA hosted an online weekly Bingo night, giving the opportunity for students to play games, interact, and win prizes in a fun, relaxed setting. These online Bingo nights provided a unique way to keep membership engaged in an otherwise challenging school year.

Congratulations to our December Star Award recipients, Everett High PTA and Forest View Elementary PTA!
Congratulations to our December Star Award recipients, Everett High PTA and Forest View Elementary PTA!
- Everett High PTA was recognized for their membership efforts. They have exceeded all expectations for this challenging year, with membership over 120% when compared to the previous school year.
- Forest View Elementary PTA was recognized for their creative "Frankie & Friends Community Holiday Lights" event nights, which encouraged Forest View families to go into their local school community areas, see holiday decorations and lights, and find the school mascot (Frankie the Falcon) who was waiting with free candy canes and toys.

Congratulations to our November Star Award recipient: ESD Special Education PTSA! Their PTA is recognized for their huge efforts in encouraging connection, communication, and engagement. Their Community Run, Walk, or Roll Virtual 5K encourages students of all abilities to get active, fundraises for teacher grants and shares proceeds with local PTAs. Thanks to the Special Education PTSA efforts, every single PTA in the district has a registered participant and will receive funds. In addition, their team has hosted two Q&A sessions with the district's new Director of Special Education and continues to host events to facilitate communication and connection. Congratulations!

Congratulations to our September Star Award winners, View Ridge Elementary PTA and Mill Creek Elementary PTA!
- View Ridge Elementary PTA was recognized for their online membership and "Become a Friend" packets to keep families connected, establishing a food pantry, and their campaign "Together, we can do virtually anything!"
- Mill Creek Elementary PTA was recognized for their creative and successful weekly summer Zoom sessions. Throughout the summer, Mill Creek Elementary PTA kept families connected with lessons on chickens, music, art, yoga, and coffee chats

January/February Star Awards:
Congratulations to our latest Star Award winners of this school year, Cedar Wood Elementary PTA and Woodside Elementary PTA! These PTAs are the recipients of the Star Award for building up their Art Docent programs this year and are working towards sharing them with other schools!

November Star Award:
Congratulations to our first Star Award winner of this school year, Monroe Elementary PTA! Some examples of their successful initiatives this year include welcoming students with a red carpet event on the first day of school, plus adopting a "This Is Me" theme this year which includes introducing positive message signs throughout the school.
2018-2019 School Year:
September Star Awards go to Silver Firs PTA and Woodside PTA for their creative videos shared on social media! Silver Firs PTA has done live videos showing their raffle drawings for various gift cards. Great way to encourage PTA membership and a fun way to announce the winners! Woodside PTA has a Welcome Video introducing their teaching staff and has done this now for 3 years. This short video is a quick way for families to see who all the teachers are and see them with their teaching teams. Such a simple but effective way to "meet" the Woodside staff and help build their Toucan community!

November Star Awards go to Jackson High School PTSA for showing Screenagers and collaborating with local schools to sponsor the movie. Monroe PTA was given an award for hosting a Family Reading Night.
January Star Awards go to Jackson Elementary PTA for 100 Reflections submissions from art docents promoting and supporting the program. Jefferson Elementary PTA for it's school food bank program where they collect food for families in need and fill backpacks to go home with families.
