Awards of Excellence
Does your PTA follow best practices as outlined by WSPTA?  Do you have a great PTA website or send out regular newsletters?  Consider applying for one or more of the WA State PTA Awards of Excellence to highlight these achievements to your members and school community.  Award applications are due March 1 but are now available and provide a list of judging criteria and point values.

By reviewing the award standards early you may find that they also give your PTA Board ideas to improve upon the work they are already doing. PTAs can earn either Bronze, Silver or Gold level for these awards with the exception of the Standards of Excellence Award which also has a Platinum level.

If you have questions or would like to see examples of applications, join us at one of our Council Meetings to speak with our Council team, or contact Everett PTSA Council to have a Council member come out and meet with your PTA individually. All PTAs are encouraged to apply!

WSPTA Leadership Academy
Volunteer Recognition Award
Washington State PTA is a volunteer organization. The differences made in the lives of children are because of volunteers who are committed to being a voice for every child. In gratitude for many hours of service and training, the WSPTA Board of Directors created the Leadership Academy program. The purpose of this program is to recognize and acknowledge leadership skills attained by PTA leaders throughout all levels of the association. PTA leaders are encouraged to join the Leadership Academy program and submit their activity annually to create a record of their leadership in the association.

The program awards leadership points for leadership positions held in both PTA and other educational committees, classes presented, conference attendance, and other WSPTA and National PTA events. The award recognizes four leadership levels from bronze to crystal. All levels are recognized with a certificate and a pin. Crystal awardees are recognized at the WSPTA annual convention each spring.
