February 27, 2023: Special thanks to our Council Nominating Committee (Margaret McAdams, Lisa Syravong, Mee Yoke McGuire) for finding officer nominees for the 2023-2024 PTA term! Your commitment to finding nominees for leading our council is appreciated!

February 1, 2023:   We welcome our newest Council Board members, Anita Dhinakar and Tiffany Nash, who are volunteering to be our FACE/DEI Co-Chairs for the remainder of this PTA term. Thank you for joining our team and we look forward to your collaboration and ideas! Our Council Board now has the most members ever!

January 4, 2023: We wish to express special thanks and warmest regards to our outstanding volunteers at our Council Reflections Celebration event tonight: Craig Willis, Georgina Johns, Mee Yoke McGuire, Amber Ortega, Serena Peterson, Beenish Iqbal, Cam-Tu Vo, Lisa Syravong, Laura Peterson

October 26, 2022: Special thanks to Beenish Iqbal, Mee Yoke McGuire, Lisa Syravong, and Craig Willis for volunteering on behalf of our council today at the CRC (school district headquarters), hosting Staff Appreciation treats and beverages for the great staff of Everett Public Schools, as well as promoting our PTA membership drive for the Great PTA Signup Day!

May 19, 2022: The Council Awards Celebration was a big success, and it was largely due to the cumulative efforts and teamwork of the planning team: Mee Yoke McGuire, Lisa Syravong, Serena Peterson, Valerie Cunningham, Beenish Iqbal, Georgina Johns, and Craig Willis. Thank you so much for making this event so special for our local PTAs and attendees!

April 27, 2022: Special thanks to Council Advocacy Chair, Clarissa Phillips, for hosting a "Sustainability Overview Session" to help inform PTA leaders in and out of our district of our upcoming first-ever Council Resolution and how it addresses our commitment to environmental sustainability.

March 1, 2022: Special thanks to our Council Nominating Committee (Beenish Iqbal, Lisa Syravong, Mee Yoke McGuire) for finding officer nominees for the 2022-2023 PTA term! Your commitment to finding nominees for leading our council is appreciated!

January 22, 2022: Council Advocacy Chair, Clarissa Phillips, coordinated and led seven information sessions with 12 state legislators for "Focus on Advocacy" Week! Thank you for your efforts to keep our PTA leaders informed on advocacy efforts!

January 21, 2022: Special thanks to Council Reflections Chair, Georgina Johns, for leading the creation of two great Reflections events: an in-person Reflections Celebration event at the CRC district headquarters on January 5, and a drive-thru Reflections artwork pickup event at Hauge Homestead Park on January 20. Congratulations to *all* of the entrants and best of luck to those entries which are advancing to the Washington State level!

January 19, 2022: Special thanks to Everett Public Schools DEI Director, Joi Grant, for leading a special Roundtable Discussion about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) after our meeting tonight. Thank you, also, to all of the PTA leaders who stayed for the event and participated in the discussion.

November 18, 2021: Special thanks to Mee Yoke McGuire, Beenish Iqbal, Clarissa Phillips, and Craig Willis for hosting Staff Appreciation treats and beverages for the great staff of Everett Public Schools today.

October 10, 2021: Our Council wishes to express special thanks and recognition to our Council F.A.C.E./D.E.I. Chair, Beenish Iqbal, for hosting our first in-person FACE Roundtable Discussion with local PTA leaders this school year!

September 29, 2021: Our Council wishes to express special thanks and recognition to our Council Reflections Chair, Georgina Johns, for hosting our first Reflections Program Training event of the school year tonight. Thanks also to WSPTA Programs Director Laura Peterson and all of the attendees! We wish you all much success with Reflections!

August 17, 2021: Our Council wishes to express special thanks and recognition to WSPTA Programs Director, Laura Peterson, and Everett PTSA Council President, Craig Willis, for helping promote PTA in the community by hosting a booth at the Mill Creek Festival.

August 7, 2021: Our Council wishes to express special thanks and recognition to Council Board members Craig Willis, Stephanie Cherry, Beenish Iqbal, and Margaret McAdams for attending the WSPTA Leadership Conference today. At the event, the attendees learned about the role of Council and importance of Council support for local PTAs. The lessons they learned at this event will help them become better leaders, individually, as well as help our Council become more successful, overall.

July 1, 2021: Our Council wishes to express special thanks and recognition to our departing Council Board members: Jen Hirman, Amanda Cabana, Jonelle Radford, Laura Peterson, Denise Constantineau, Lizzy Sebring, and Vanessa Dilley. You have each been wonderful contributors to our team and fantastic stewards for our local PTAs. You will be missed!

February 5, 2021: Our Council would like to give special thanks and recognition to our Council Co-Chairs, Georgina Johns and Vanessa Dilley, for doing an awesome job with overseeing Reflections this school year. Due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, they adapted a virtual submission program to help maximize artist submission opportunities and later held two drive-thru celebration events for the student artists. Great job, Georgina and Vanessa!​

January 15, 2021: Our Council wishes to express special thanks and recognition to our Council F.A.C.E. Chair, Beenish Iqbal, as well as Sno-Isle Libraries, for partnering efforts this year to distribute free books to schools throughout Everett School District. Over 3000(!) books have been donated to various Everett schools this school year. Thank you, Beenish and Sno-Isle Libraries!

September 29, 2020: Special thanks to Jen Hirman, Amanda Cabana, and Abbey McGee for distributing cookies to the great staff at the EPS Community Resource Center (CRC) today on behalf of our Council's Everett School District staff appreciation efforts. The cookies were made by Kindred Kitchen, a local business which is part of HopeWorks - an organization that provides opportunities for training and employment of homeless and low-income individuals.

September 15, 2020: Our Council would like to take a moment to thank the following people for helping support our local PTAs and children at the beginning of the school year: Jen Hirman, Denise Constantineau, Sarah Chamberlin: Thank you for helping put together and organize flash drives for distribution to our local PTAs. Beenish Iqbal: Thank you for helping organize and coordinate book drives at local schools. Amanda Cabana: Thank you for helping several of our local PTAs setup their Memberplanet accounts and features.

August 3, 2020: Thank you to our Annual Financial Review Committee (Brooke Yule from Monroe Elementary PTA, Kim Caschette from Heatherwood Middle School PTA, and Jessica Crane from Madison Elementary PTA) for conducting the 2020 annual financial review for our Council. Their team will provide a summary at the next Membership Meeting.

February 20, 2020: Thank you to our Mid-Year Financial Review Committee (Michelle Chamberland from Silver Lake PTA, Kim Caschette from Heatherwood PTA, and Jessica Crane from Madison PTA) for conducting this year's mid-year financial review for our Council. Their team will provide a summary at the next Membership Meeting.

July 18, 2019 & August 14, 2019: Thank you to our Annual Financial Review Committee (Michelle Chamberland, Alisa Yee, Jonelle Radford) for conducting the annual financial review for our Council. The annual review is required by WSPTA Uniform Bylaws and helps ensure our PTA follows good financial principles. Their team will provide a summary at the September membership meeting.

March 8, 2019: Thank you to our Mid-Year Financial Review Committee (Corinne Kunstorf, Michelle Chamberland, Alisa Yee) for conducting this year's mid-year financial review for our Council. Their team will provide a summary at the next membership meeting.

8/16/18: Thank you to Jen Hirman (Council PTSA/Cedar Wood PTA), Corinne Kunstorf (Evergreen PTA) and Jacob Sand (Council PTSA) for conducting this year's annual financial review.  The annual review is required by WSPTA Uniform Bylaws and helps the Board ensure that good financial practices are being followed.

2/11/2018: Everett PTSA Council Mid-Year Financial Review > The Financial Review Committee completed the mid-year financial review for Everett PTSA Council last week and will provide a summary of the review at the next Council PTSA Membership Meeting. Thank you to Corinne Kunstorf (Evergreen PTA), Susan Wold (Cedar Wood PTA) and Jen Hirman (Council PTSA) for serving as financial review committee members. While optional, the mid-year review helps ensure PTA accounting systems align with best practices from WSPTA and is an important step in keeping PTAs running smoothly. ​

1/7/2018: On behalf of Everett PTSA Council Reflections, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the following individuals for judging our 271 Reflections entries in one or more of the six categories and five divisions this year!

We are also grateful for the support from our local schools and community including the students who shared their artistic talents and creativity, the PTA Reflections Chairs for promoting Reflections at their local school and preparing the artwork for the Council level, and the Everett School District for generously allowing use of their facilities.

Finally, thank you to all of our wonderful Everett PTSA Council Reflections Celebration volunteers Jen Hirman, Kim Kuhne, Angela Steck, Lizzy Sebring, Laura Peterson, Lisa Mills, Alisa Yee. This event would not be possible without them!
