THANK YOU to all the volunteers who came to help with set-up and clean-up at the Celebration.  Special THANKS to JHS Key Club for continuing to provide student volunteers to help with Everett PTSA Council Reflections.  Thank you to all the students, families, teachers, local PTA Reflections chairs, PTA members and Everett School District board members and administrative staff for your support and attendance at the Celebration.  Here are some pictures from the event:

2025-2026 Reflections
It’s never too soon to think about next year’s Reflections.  The theme for 2025-2026 Reflections will be “I Belong.”
  • Keep students engage and thinking about Reflections before school ends
    • Partner with art teachers to share about Reflections and encourage students' participation
    • Hold an after-school art workshop
    • Coordinate with your elementary school Art Docent program to talk about Reflections
  • Keep students engage and thinking about Reflections during the summer
    • Hold an art contest between different grade levels or different classroom; perhaps the grade or class with the most art submission will win a pizza/ice cream/donut party
    • Do a drawing - any student who submit an entry at the start of the school year (like on the first day or within the first week of school) will get a chance to enter a drawing for a gift card/certificate
If you have additional ideas, please share: [email protected]

National PTA seeks a theme for the Reflections program each year.  The student submitting the winning entry receives $100 and their theme is presented at the annual National PTA Convention.  Go here for a list of past themes.

WSPTA holds an annual contest to determine Washington’s entries to the national theme search.  The deadline for 2027-2028 WSPTA Reflections Theme Search Contest is November 2025.

Only students who attend a school with an active PTA/PTSA may participate in the theme search contest.

  • Celebrating students and their artwork
Here are some options you can use to recognize the students at your school for their participation.
    • Art display celebration, similar to council, where you display students’ artwork for everyone to see
    • Give all students who participate a certificate. If you end up going through judging to advance up to 20 entries to council, you can also recognize those students with another certificate or just those who placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.
    • General student participation certificate
      • You can change wording and make this into 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd place certificate as you see fit).
    • Announce students’ name through the school-wide morning announcement and/or newsletter for those who advance to council, state, and/or national
